The Vessel Project
The Vessel Project of Louisiana, founded by Roishetta, is a community-driven mutual aid and disaster relief organization that emerged in Southwest Louisiana as a response to several federally declared disasters, including hurricanes Laura and Delta, winter storm Uri, and the May flood of 2021.
The primary objective of The Vessel Project is to facilitate horizontal pathways for individuals within communities to support one another without a hierarchical bureaucratic structure. Our organization is committed to upholding transparency in the provision of aid, and we encourage participation from all individuals who share our vision of building solidarity within Southwest Louisiana and beyond.
